Established in 1969, the Nikon Photo Contest International is one of the world’s most prestigious international photographic contests.It aims to provide an opportunity for photographers around the world to communicate and to enrich photographic culture for professionals and amateurs alike.
Photography is a universal language. Its timeless power transcends nationality, ethnicity and culture by communicating directly to the emotional core we all share. Without words, photographs speak to us all. That’s what makes photography so special and so important.
Categories:
- Free subject: Works that convey your unique perspective and creativity.
- Energy: Works that capture the energy of sights and subjects that inspire, motivate or excite you or viewers.
With these categories, we look forward to receiving expressive images from around the world that are true to people’s emotions.

- Emerging Talent Award - 4 all together, regardless of category - Nikon COOLPIX P6000 digital camera; Photos to be included in the Mini Gallery on the Nikon Photo Contest International 2010-2011 website
- Emerging Talent Award runners up - 16 all together, regardless of category - Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj digital camera; Photos to be included in the Mini Gallery on the Nikon Photo Contest International 2010-2011 website

We are looking for images of wild animals that stand out from the crowd (a striking portrait that catches our eye or perhaps the image will reveal an interesting aspect of an animal’s behaviour).
Prizes:
- Grand prize for 2010: Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR camera

With water conservation imagery as the key focus, the savewater! awards® photographic competition provides a unique platform for photographers to creatively demonstrate the importance of water and its impact on our future.
Theme: Water conservation.
Categories:
- Junior students (up to 12 years olds)
- Senior students (13-17 year olds)
- Open
Prizes:
- Junior Student – the winning student’s school will receive AUD $1,000 and the winning student will receive a digital camera and iPod shuffe. Finalists receive an iPod shuffe
- Senior Student – the winning student’s school will receive AUD $1,000 and the winning student will receive a digital camera and iPod shuffe. Finalists receive an iPod shuffe
- Open – the winner will receive a digital SLR camera, with fnalists receiving a digital camera

- Photojournalism & Documentary
The Sony World Photography Awards Professional competition welcomes both published and unpublished work to be entered within each category listed under the three main genres.
Prizes:
Winner of “L’iris d’Or” - Best overall photograph will receive:
- Recipient of the title “Sony World Photography Awards Photographer of The Year"
- $25,000
- Entry into the “World Photographic Academy”
- Exhibition showcase of winning image and 25 picture portfolio at the 2012 Sony World Photography Awards

Optimalprint.co.uk presents this photography contest.You may submit photos that are suitable for business cards. Your photos can be can be of any genre from landscape to animation, portrait to still life. As long as it is appropriate for a business card.
Prizes:
